I bought a new graphic card recently, it turns out hang while I’m playing 3D games like Need For Speed Carbon, Command & Conquer Generals & Sim City 4000. Actually the game went smooth for 5~10 minutes but finally showing a blank screen and the system restarted.
After a week trying to figure it out myself by checking lots of websites to troubleshoot the problem, I went back to the dealer.
The salesperson said “it’s nothing to do with the card it’s probably your computer problem… but after a few minutes arguing with him he finally agreed to test the card.
It turned out the card malfunction while they are testing the card! No actually the technician forgot to turn off the internal 3D chipset, so the screen just went blank.
Unnoticed the actual problem they give me a new replacement card. I walked home with a new graphic card.
