Earthquake in Taiwan 3 days ago struck undersea fibre optic cable interrupting internet connection within Asia to US and Europe.
Surfing on 1Mbps DSL lines, the average downloading speed was around 0.8KBps. Yeah… I repeat ~ 0.8, it took 5 hours for me to download the new Opera 9.10 (5MB).
But of course this is a great luck to have a new post.
Guess what hapepend to me while no smooth internet connection:
1. can’t sent e-mail to supplier at Shenzhen, China.
2. can’t surf Digg.com very well… missed lots of great stuff.
3. can’t check my Yahoo!Mail
4. can’t log in to Gmail.com
5. can’t search at Google.com… means I can’t do reasearch at work.
6. can’t read blog, even my own blog.
7. didn’t surf to YouTube since last week.
8. can’t access Friendster.com
9. can’t upload my cliet’s website.
10. can’t download much with Bittorrent, only peers from Philiphine and Malaysia that seed well.
11. can’t see AdSense stats.
It is very unproductive days, which migh continue until 3 weeks… OK now I’m going to hit the “publish” button and see if my post reach at the server…
