Actually I have abandoned this blog for a while. I feel like I’m not on the mood of blogging recently. Very, very low posting frequency… I wrote new post probably twice a month (in average). For the moment I just become internet slave browsing others stuff without much contributing back. I envy lots of people success building their blog traffic. I amazed browsing others blog that alredy hit less than 100K Alexa rankings. Not to tell how much they have earned blogging… also with damn much user contributed comments… You all doing great guys, I envy you all. Continue reading ‘Why I didn’t blogged much’

Nice feature I found in WordPress blogging system since version 2.2 is the widget in the template. With the widget ready theme I could easily add any HTML content inside the sidebars. As you all could see my blog now served 3 column including 2 sidebars on the right. No more hardcode HTML inside the template, reduced task to do if I decide to switch to another theme. The Ajax based interface makes widget positioning easier with just drag ‘N drop features. After a few day playing with Wordpress widget I love to drop here a few tips. Updates, phpBB3 RC2 has been released yesterday.
“On release candidates full support is given, allowing language packs as well as modifications and styles. We only give support to those having a clean RC installation or updates from RC1, previous conversions or updates from betas will not be supported here. We encourage only those running the release candidates wanting to test out the new version, it is still recommended to wait for the full release; after all this is a release candidate.”

I’m with Opera since version 5, but swithing to IE occationally due to incompatibility issues. I have tried FireFox but fianlly came back to Opera. I have tried Safari (Windows Beta) few weeks ago, it gives me a good experince in web page rendering and interface looks. But Safari went unstable lately and I’m using Opera… Which browser you’re using?

Since last week I have been experimenting using Maplesnow (Chinese speed sub) with Vegapunk softsub, and found that using Maplesnow releases giving me better experience watching One Piece early.
Why want to use Maplesnow releases?
- fast relese, only a few hour after OP aired on Sunday.
- SMALLer file size, 100MB means faster completion
- medium widescreen quality - from HDTV source
The problem using Maplesnow with softsub is it will un-sync after the middle (sponsor) break. I can watch it with subbed without problem before the sponsor break.
How to make softsub works with Maplesnow?
- download and install Aegisub
- open .ass file with Aegisub
- find the first un-sync script from Aegisub
- find the voice timing from the video file, just play > pause, when the character starts to speak.
- calculate the time difference. (usually 10 seconds)
- within Aegisub select all script after the sponsor break
- go to, menu: edit > shift times
- enter, shift by: 10 seconds (00:00:10.00), affect: selected rows
- save file, done, play the video.
How do I play .rmvb releases with softsub?
- I only use Real Alternative from K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
- Download and install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack
- choose “lots of stuff” option when installing.
- all .ass, .srt softsub will be loaded automatically when playing associated files.
- I usually rename the softsub file into media-filename.rmvb.ass and the softsub will be loaded without any pain.
- Find Maplesnow releases. Subscribe RSS for immediate notification.
- Get Aegisub
p/s: Of course I’ll redownload all Vegapunk sub after being released for my own archive. But I’m thinking to reencode them to rmvb (real media variable bitrate) because the quality ad file size was more acceptable than Xvid/Divx.
